Mitch Dane/Sputnik Sound

I’m still hacking away at Julianna’s Zobrist stuff.  I’m really excited about some of the turns it’s been taking… it’s like it has a life of it’s own.  I got to break out the old Synaire for one of her songs.  It’s basically a drum pad with 2 oscillators built in with some synth controls.  It’s great for those 80’s hits and snare drums.  It came out great, though I felt a little silly whacking this drum pad with a stick.  All in a day’s work I suppose.

I took a lunch break with Alex Mejias (pronounced: “ma he’ as”).  We discussed the possibilities of doing a record sometime next year.  I really enjoyed hanging with him.  He’s really talented and just a great guy.  We listened to a lot of music and laughed some. I would love to work together.

I must run… today is my son, Max’s birthday.  5 years old is the best age ever!
